LA Community Connections - June Presentation

VirtualThe Los Angeles Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is excited to host a presentation featuring Dr. Jacque Duncan, Chair and Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, UCSF, and Chair of the Foundation Fighting Blindness Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Duncan specializes in treating retinal degenerative diseases, such as retinitis pigmentosa and age-related macular degeneration. She also has expertise in diagnosing and treating retinal diseases such as Usher syndrome, cone-rod dystrophy, and Stargardt’s disease.
In her research, Dr. Duncan is studying treatments to preserve vision and is also working to identify new ways to measure whether treatments are safe and effective. She has received research funding from the National Eye Institute, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Research to Prevent Blindness, the All May See Foundation, the RP Hope Foundation, the Karl Kirchgessner Foundation, Hope for Vision, and the American Geriatrics Society.
Additionally, the Los Angeles Chapter will be hosting a virtual Community Connections discussion after Dr. Duncan’s presentation. This will be an open forum on the topics Dr. Duncan covers in her presentation.
