Dr. Ann Wagner
Dr. Ann Wagner, a Board-Certified Clinical Psychologist, spent 26 years on the PTSD Clinical Team at the Minneapolis VA, specializing in evidence-based trauma treatments. Though retired, she remains active as a consultant and speaker, with a focus on vision loss, Narrative-Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (N-IRT) for nightmares, and integrating Narrative and brief psychodynamic therapy. Blind due to retinitis pigmentosa (RP), Dr. Wagner has presented nationally on grief, anxiety, depression, and resilience related to vision loss. She values “village moments” of shared authenticity and finds joy in family, baking, and warm hugs.
Sonya Chapnick
Sonya Chapnick, founder of
www.YogaGently.com, is a certified yoga therapist specializing in breath-centered, accessible yoga. After losing her sight to a rare retinal disorder over 30 years ago, yoga became her lifeline. She is dedicated to empowering individuals—regardless of physical or mental health challenges—through gentle, customized practices, particularly for older adults, those experiencing pain or grief, and the visually impaired. An advocate for accessible yoga and described narration technologies, Sonya is also an avid tandem cyclist. She lives in Los Angeles with her supportive husband and two daughters.
