We are excited to announce a special collaborative event with Achilles International, offering our Baltimore community a morning of inspiration, connection, and movement. Join us for a program where we highlight our shared missions and then participate in an inclusive, guided exercise session.
Meeting Points: Please note the 2 gathering points below to ensure a smooth start to the day:
- Familiar with Patterson Park: You may proceed directly to the fountain near the corner of E Lombard Street and S Patterson Park Avenue.
- Not Familiar with Patterson Park: Please meet at the Julie Community Center (100 South Washington Street)
The program starts at 10:00 a.m. The morning begins with a brief program led by Achilles International and Foundation Fighting Blindness. This session will provide an overview of each organization’s activities and mission.
After the brief program, Foundation Fighting Blindness members are invited to join the Achilles International team for their weekend exercise routine. Achilles is dedicated to empowering the disability community to cross the finish line! At this workout, you are welcome to walk or run at a distance and pace that suits you. Volunteer sighted guides will be provided to assist you every step of the way.
To join this collaborative exercise event, please register below to secure your spot, allowing Achilles to account for a sufficient number of sighted guides in advance.
If your plans change after registering, kindly notify Lauren Meltzer at LMeltzer@FightingBlindness.org in advance. We look forward to seeing you for this collaborative event!
