Join Today!The Foundation Fighting Blindness mental health initiative is guided by a mental health advisory council (MHAC) which includes five expert therapists (three of whom are blind or have low vision), a retinal specialist who has treated patients facing severe depression and anxiety, and a Foundation Board Member affected by vision loss who organized a local mental health support group.

The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, Usher syndrome and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
