Rebuilding Vision: Regenerative Medicine and Clinical Trials in IRD and Dry AMD Webinar
Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 7:00 p.m. (EST)
Location
VirtualThis one-hour session, “Rebuilding Vision: Regenerative Medicine and Clinical Trials in IRD and Dry AMD,” will provide an in-depth look at cutting-edge stem cell derived photoreceptor and retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) therapies that show promise for addressing inherited retinal degenerative diseases (IRD) and geographic atrophy in age-related macular degeneration (AMD)—conditions for which there are currently no treatments to restore vision lost from retinal atrophy.
Attendees will receive a comprehensive overview of the current regenerative medicine landscape, with detailed information on cellular imaging techniques that assess stem cell migration, survival, and post-transplantation integration. Participants will also gain insights into how high-resolution imaging and sensitive detection methods are enhancing our ability to track and visualize donor-derived RPE cells in real-time.
Webinar Objectives
Participants will:
1. Understand the potential of regenerative medicine cell therapies in treating inherited retinal degenerative diseases and geographic atrophy in age-related macular degeneration.
2. Learn how cellular imaging can be used to evaluate stem cell migration and survival, and to track and visualize fine-scale coverage and migration dynamics of living donor-derived RPE cells post-transplantation in vivo.
3. Gain an overview of the current research landscape for regenerative medicine cell therapies targeting IRDs and AMD
