Join the Foundation Fighting Blindness for the DC Vision Connection, an enriching and supportive gathering hosted by our local Foundation Chapter network. This event is a dedicated space for the blind and low-vision community to gain clinical insights, access practical resources, and connect with peers and experts. 

We are officially kicking off fundraising for the DC VisionWalk! Come join a team, get inspired, and help us raise the funds that drive the science. 

Meet Our Featured Speaker:
Andrew R. Carey, MD – Neil R. Miller Rising Professor of Ophthalmology, Wilmer Eye Institute
We are privileged to welcome Dr. Andrew R. Carey from the world-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute. As a leading specialist in neuro-ophthalmology and retinal diseases, Dr. Carey will share his expertise on a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Neuro-Ophthalmic Disorders: Optic neuritis, uveitis-related papillitis, and ischemic & hereditary optic neuropathies.
  • Retinal Diseases: Retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and diabetic retinopathy.
  • Specialized Care: Toxic retinopathies and various inherited retinal disorders.
