Join the Baltimore Chapter for a collaborative Community Webinar designed to bring valuable resources right to you during your lunch break!

As a way to “close out” World Blindness Awareness Month, this special event will feature a great lineup of local organizations working together to share essential support, services, and opportunities for our community.

Meet Our Featured Speakers

  • Matthew Nixon
    Affiliation: Instructor with Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired (SBVI).
    Expertise: Provides comprehensive employment skill training based on the American Printing House for the Blind’s “Job Seeker’s Toolkit.”
    Training Covers: Job searching, drafting resumes and cover letters, interview practice, self-advocacy under the ADA and EEOC, and requesting reasonable accommodations.
    Experience: 24 years in various roles, including management, finance, staffing, customer service, and training.

  • Matt Yannuzzi
    Affiliation: Director of the Training Center at Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM).
    Story: After losing his sight in 2018, Matt enrolled in BISM’s adjustment to blindness training program. He quickly advanced from a teaching position to Director within two years.
    Quote: “Ultimately, I needed to lose my sight to gain vision!”
