Hello and welcome to the St. Louis Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness!

The St. Louis Chapter offers support, information and direction for questions relating to retinal degenerative disease. We hold meetings 3 or 4 times a year hosting retinal doctors, researchers, low vision aid specialists, mobility experts and others. These meetings are free of charge and allow those affected by retinal disease, their friends, family and anyone else interested to meet others in similar situations and hear the latest Chapter and Foundation news.

The St. Louis Chapter also aims to promote awareness in the community for the growing population of vision impaired through outreach and local media coverage. Most importantly, we provide fundraising support for the Foundation. Our Annual VisionWalk and “Dining in the Dark” activities are the primary means of generating contributions and these are augmented by donations and gifts throughout the year.

Whatever your reason for visiting, I’m very glad you found us. My wife, Leslie, and came to this website for the first time after learning that our son Jack has Retinitis Pigmentosa.

I hope you will visit us at a Chapter meeting to learn more and make contact with people who may understand what you are going through. Your participation can speed the progress already being made.
