Collaborations
To make a bigger impact on our mission to turn early research into clinical trials for people with IRDs and dry AMD, the Foundation will grow its network of collaborators and partners. This will strengthen our current programs and help us start new ones. The plan focuses on finding co-funding partners for postdoctoral researchers, key disease genes, the My Retina Tracker® Registry, and working together to speed up progress in retinal disease research. We also need resources to support non-grant activities like staffing, marketing, communications, events, and fundraising.
Strategy 1: Build more mission-driven partnerships.
The Foundation’s engagement with thought leaders has been highly effective in fueling new insight generation and advancing the field, but further engagement may be beneficial in supporting our goals to address critical gaps by fostering innovative change, enhancing efficiency and accelerated development of new polices to streamline market penetration.
Strategy 2: Fund key resources through partnerships.
Fund critical resources through partnerships with other entities, such as government agencies, private foundations, academic institutions, or industry stakeholders, to provide foundational resources that advance research initiatives.
