Come join the Triangle Chapter fundraiser at O'Brien Family Farms in Coats. Just a 30-minute drive from Raleigh is the only commercial blackberry operation in Harnett County. What better way to enjoy a summer Saturday morning than to pick fresh blackberries on a family farm while also raising money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness?

For a minimum $20 donation per person, pick the best-tasting blackberries you will ever find (and they are thornless, too!). Turn it into a family fun day and take home enough blackberries to make cobblers, jams, and sorbets! Make your donation now and put June 24th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on your calendar! ALL proceeds go to the Foundation Fighting Blindness.

A personal note from Tom O'Brien, owner of O'Brien Family Farms and one of the Triangle Chapter Leaders:

“I was diagnosed with RP in 1980. I still have a small amount of vision and am fortunate to have retired a few years ago and started our family farm in Coats. We want to share our blackberry harvest with you and the benefit of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Please visit us on June 24th!”
