Douglas Walker, Co-Director of Research & Development. Hadley School for the Blind
Douglas will discuss how to successfully use technology for the blind and visually impaired. He will present on Hadley’s new website and all of their offerings. This will be an interactive session, which will allow participants to ask questions and learn how technology can be better utilized.
Douglas Walker is a lifelong learner and educator with a specialty in assistive technology for those with visual impairments. He has taught in a wide variety of settings from the Tennessee School for the Blind to West Tennessee as an itinerant educator/consultant to Vanderbilt as an adjunct professor to Hadley heading up the assistive technology team. Most recently, Douglas has assumed a leadership role in Research and Development at Hadley. He focuses on developing new ways to engage and empower those facing vision loss. Douglas holds a master’s degree in education from Vanderbilt University.
