On event day, Foundation staff and volunteers arrive early in the morning to set up our materials and rent tents, tables & chairs. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m., where walkers check-in, pick up their free t-shirt if they have earned it, have breakfast, and enjoy activities. The stage presentation begins at 10:00 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m. The walk is not a timed race and is two miles long. Walkers return and receive post-walk awards, the event ends, and cleanup begins.

VisionWalk is a family friendly walkathon where teams of individuals compromised of families, friends, colleagues, and neighbors participate to raise funds for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The Mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness (a501©(3)tax-exempt organization) is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatment and cures for people affected by retinal diseases.
